Each year I always love to have a Masquerade or Fancy Dress party .So I was thrilled when Anytime Costumes graciously consented to sponsor a Give-Away from my blog and they also asked me to review a costume . I chose this beautiful Renaissance Queen Costume. .

I love it , it is very well made and comfortable . It will be perfect for a fall night , I like to have my parties outside . Here is my daughter Angel modeling the costume .

Contest starts today Wednesday September 8 ,2010 and ends Wednesday September 22 , 2010 at midnight .

Winner will have 48 hours to respond , if the winner does not respond then new winner will be drawn . Residents of US eligible only.

Wastelands

There are dry, fruitless, lonely places in each of our lives, where we seem to travel alone, sometimes feeling as though we must surely have lost the way. What am I doing here? How did this happen? Lord, get me out of this!

He does not get us out. Not when we ask for it, at any rate, because it was He all along who brought us to this place. He has been here before--it is no wilderness to Him, and He walks with us. There are things to be seen and learned in these apparent wastelands which cannot be seen and learned in the "city"--in places of comfort, convenience, and company.

God does not intend to make it no wasteland. He intends rather to keep us--to hold us with his strength, to sustain us with his sure words--in a place where there is nothing else we can count on.

"God did not guide them by the road towards the Philistines, although that was the shortest...God made them go round by way of the wilderness towards the Red Sea" (Ex 13:17,18 NEB).

Imagine what Israel and all of us who worship Israel's God would have missed if they had gone by the short route--the thrilling story of the deliverance from Egypt's chariots when the sea was rolled back. Let's not ask for shortcuts. Let's keep alert for the wonders our Guide will show us in the wilderness.

I think she is so cute .


My 12 yr old granddaughter loves to create , you can visit her crafty blog Here , she would love a visit from you .She made these two rag dolls without a pattern , she made the pattern up herself.

Next up is this 1965 Enid Collins style bag that someone made from a kit .I got it for a very good deal on Ebay .



It is missing some pieces but for it's age and the price , I think it still looks very good.

God has arranged all kinds of environment , all sorts of happenings and many sufferings,all with a view to creating in each of his children a certain character which will glorify Him. To be scourged may be the evidence of His approval. Chastisement is love's arrangement . Love measures and love plans . God may not deal thus with everyone , but He certainly does so with those whom He has accepted as sons (& daughters ). Watchman Nee

His Joy, Our Joy

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.Hebrews 12:2

" I am like the butterfly just preparing to slip out of its old cocoon ,panting for the life outside ,but with no experience to tell what kind of life that outside life will be . But I believe with all my heart that the apostle told the truth when He declared that "eye hath not seen , nor ear heard ,neither hath it entered into man's heart the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him." (1Corinthians2:9)And what better prospect could the soul have !

Then will be fulfilled the prayer of our Lord ," Father,I will that they also, whom thou hast given me ,be with me where I am ; that they may behold my glory which thou hast given me ." (John17:24)

That glory is not the glory of dazzling light but it is the glory of unselfish love .I have had a few faint glimpses of this glory now and here,and it has been enough to ravish my heart .
