Family Heirloom Blog Party

I only have a few Heirlooms, The one I could get to quickly was this Lenox candy dish that was my grandmother's.Her name was Lucy Stanton Collins,she was born in 1900 and died in 1998.

She was a wonderful dedicated christian woman. This is one of the serving dishes that was likely to be used to serve some of her delicious homemade bread & butter pickles just as often as it would some type of candy. The socials she hosted ,would have been for church groups,or numerous family bridal or baby showers. This has been a pleasant time remembering my Grandmother . More of Weekend Beach Trip

On the beach trip we stayed at this quaint little inn, the Caribbe Inn. It has beach scenes painted on the walls. It was nice & cozy & clean.And it had plenty of fun atmosphere.

On the way home we stopped by New bern & went sightseeing for a little while , (future posts)

We had lunch at The Cow Cafe., a really fun place.

Jazz & me , hubby was taking picture.

In the children's dining room, there are cow farm scenes on the walls.

Pirate Loot from FawnDear

I got some great pirate loot from FawnDear.It was a blog party give-away I won . I know everyone remembers her funtastic Second Star to the Right Party just a few weeks ago. She inclued this sweet note 8-)

There were pirate play figures, A hook,arrrrrgh matey, & peter pan stickers

Everthing was wrapped so pretty with red pirate ribbon

5 beautuful nautical magnets

lots of ,shimer me timbers, pirate candy8-)

And to top it all off a beautiful handpainted pirate treasure box with the map of Neverland wood burned in the top.
