''There was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me ''.2 Corinthians 12:7

"The amazing fact apparent in the Bible is that it is relatively easy for a" heathen " to be healed , but that healing for a Christian is not that easy . The New Testament overwhelmingly shows us that whenever an unbeliever came to Jesus for healing, he was cured immediately .Now the gift of healing is surely for the Christian no less than for the unbeliever; yet the Bible tells of believers
who were not healed .Among these are some of the most Godly --Trophimus. Timothy,and Paul. Each of these three excellent brothers in Christ had to endure sickness.It is clear that sickness is different from sin in its outworking. Sin does not produce any fruit of holiness,whereas sickness does . Do not look upon sickness or pain as something terrible . In whose hand is the knife ? Remember it is in God's hand . Why should we be anxious over infirmity as if it were in the hand of the enemy ? Without God's permission Satan can make no one sick . All infirmities are measured to us by God for the sake of the enrichment they can bring ."

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
James 1:12

Life is But a Weaving

My life is but a weaving
Between my God and me.
I cannot choose the colors
He weaveth steadily.
Oft’ times He weaveth sorrow;
And I in foolish pride
Forget He sees the upper
And I the underside.
Not ‘til the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly
Will God unroll the canvas
And reveal the reason why.
The dark threads are as needful
In the weaver’s skillful hand
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned
He knows, He loves, He cares;
Nothing this truth can dim.
He gives the very best to those
Who leave the choice to Him.

Grant Colfax Tuller

Corrie Ten Boom would recite this poem while holding an overturned tapestry that was a tangled web of thread .When she had finished she would turn it over to reveal a beautiful needlepoint of a Crown .To learn more about this wonderful woman of God , visit HERE .

This song by John Waller has blessed me this week .

SPIRITUAL SUNDAY&THEN SINGS MY SOUL SATURDAY

........They cast their garments upon the colt, and they put Jesus thereon.And as he went ,they spread their clothes in the way.And when he was come nigh ,even now at the descent of the Mount of Olives , the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all his mighty works that they had seen;Saying , Blessed be the King that comes in the name of the Lord :peace in heaven, and glory in the highest . And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him,Master rebuke thy disciples . And He answered unto them, I tell you that,if these should hold their peace , the stones should immediately cry out . Luke 19 35-40

This Bible commentary is By Dr. J Vernon McGhee.

The crowd did not know the the full significance of this action.A few days later the crowd cried"Crucify Him "Even the disciples did not know the significance until later : "these things understood not his disciples at the first:but when Jesus was glorified , then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him ."(John 12"16)
This episode of coming into Jerusalem as the Lord Jesus Christ did ,was bound to incite the Roman rulers to act because of two things . First, He accepted the reverence and loyalty of these followers. In the second place, he did not silence them .
The Lord Jesus Christ recognized that eternal and significant issues were at stake and that to rebuke His followers would force the silent stones to cry out . In, fact they were crying out ,for when Nehemiah had rebuilt the walls and gates of the city, there was a message in the stones . Those very stones and walls were proclaiming the gospel message,and the gates were fairly shouting ,"Lift up your heads, O ye gates , and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors and the King of Glory shall come in "( Ps24:7 ).
It should be remembered that the so-called triumphal entry ended at the cross.Christ will come the second time in triumph.Hebrews 9:28says, "So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many;and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation . "The second time the Lord will come to this earth, His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives. (see Zech 14:4)Then the Lord will enter Jerusalem . His true Triumphal Entry will be at His second coming.His first entry into Jerusalem took him to the cross to die for our sins. By His death and resurrection ,Salvation is offered unto us .

I also have Big Daddy Weave singing :Every time I Breathe . This has blessed me this past week.

Have a Blessed week!
