SPIRITUAL SUNDAY

To continue Celebrating of the Birth of my Lord, Jesus , today I have a wonderful poem by Luci Shaw and a beautiful song by Third Day.
The focus of both is: How will we respond to this
glorious thing that God has done for us ? To join others for more Blessings ,visit our host HERE.

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. Luke 2:7

Across the purple-patterned snow by Luci Shaw

Across the purple-patterned snow
laced with light of lantern glow ,dappled with dark,
comes Christ, the Child born from the skies .
Those are stars that are his eyes.
His baby face is wise seen by my candle spark.
But he is cold from the wind's cold blow? Where will he go?
I'll wrap him warm with love ,well as I'm able
in my heart stable !

This is the question for all mankind ,
How will you respond to this Christ Child ?
He stands at your door and knocks , will he find room there ?
Will you make your heart His Home ?
Yes, Jesus ! How we thank you that you're come !

In Celebration of His Wonderful Birth,
Merry Christmas !

  3. Hello Myrna,
I hope that the door will already be open to Christ, even before he approaches. It is something that I need to get better at. Morning prayers can open our heart's door to invite the Holy Spirit to fill us with grace.

    Christmas Blessings to you,
    Yoli

  10. This post is meaningful to me because my pastor referred to the Hebrew meaning of wrapping the child in swaddling clothes in his sermon yesterday. Swaddling cloths are for burial, he said. Have a great week!
