The inspiration for my Altered Art is" My Little Pony's" Pinkie Pie. Here is My Dorothy Pony. Her cutie mark is the shape of the state of Kansas.

 

Dorothy's faithful pet  companion Toado.

Something (or someone ) seems to be following them.

Spring Has Sprung

Hello Blogging Friends,

Spring has sprung ,at least at the Mall it has !lol But I'm still waiting  here in my world for it's manifestation .

So come along on my photo journey& enjoy an early spring !

It was all Spring in the Build a Bear Store which was featuring these adorable animals to stuff for Easter.

Happy Early Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day ! I know it's early ,but I always post on Mondays. I am starting off with this beautiful yellow begonia a gift from my sweet daughter & family.

A Break from Winter Pics

Hi Blogging Friends,

The cold has settled in here in NC , at least for the moment. Last week we had  two 70 degree days , but that is not good news.Here when that happens we are in danger of high winds & winter tornadoes .As a result of the high winds last week, the gazebo in my front yard was taken out by some tree limbs . I am glad that was all that was damaged.

For a break form the winter weather,I am traveling back in pics to last summer Back to the Beach.This is  part of the trip pics  to one of the NC Aquariums. Of course I'll start out with a beach pic to get you in the mood .

We have 4 Aquarium sites in NC. this is the Aquarium at Pine  Knoll Shores.

My post today will future one  aspect of the Aquarium ,

 which is also a winter theme and that is Penguins! This was a very giant one out front.lol

On the way in I  snapped some flower shots . This daisy grows like grass all over all of our Outer Banks .

Oh, these are not flowers , but they are orange .lol

The exhibit featured 4 endangered African Penguins . The Aquarium hosted the penguins from May to September of 2012.They raised awareness about them and collected donations for their conservation.They were fun to watch and I  didn't know there were penguins in Africa.
