Welcome Home Eli !

Hi Everyone!

This is Eliana Elizabeth Chavis , my newest granddaughter , born on March 1, 2011. She has overcome many challenges & still has more to face in her young life .She has lived at the Duke Hospital NICU since her birth . (Go here& here for more of the story .) But today Sunday July 24th, she is finally coming home . Please pray for her& her mom, dad& big sister, too!

Living Stones

"Coming to Him as to a living stone ,rejected indeed by men,but chosen by God and precious, YOU also , as living stones , are being built up a spiritual house , a holy priesthood , to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ ." 1Peter 2:4&5

The Tools

His thoughts said , I wonder why these special tools are used ?
His Father said , The house when it was in building ,was built of stone made ready before it was brought thither, so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any other tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.
If thou knewest the disappointment it is to the builders when the stone cannot be used for the house , because it was not made ready before it was brought thither, if thou knewest my purpose for thee, thou would welcome any tool if only it prepared thee quietly and perfectly to fit into thy place in the house .

~ excerpt from "His thoughts said,His Father said" By Amy Carmichael

He only gives good things to his children. Has there been something you have prayed for or not to have ? Has His answer been no, or has it been I have something better for you?

Love & Blessings,
~Myrna

  4. What a day this is! I am so thrilled. God is soooo good! Yes, I will continue to pray and yes, I would like to start a blog party where folks post on Enchanted Saturdays. I have to get help from my friend Shelley though to create a button and figure it all out. I'm just a ding-a-ling when it comes to tech stuff.

  6. So wonderful that your little one gets to come home. I know what joy that brings to your soul! I have a 22 month old grand daughter that was a 2# 6 oz. preemie. What delight we had the day that she came home. Our Saydee is still small, but smart as a whip and very healthy. Wishing you all the best!
