Update on Eliana

I would first like to thank everyone for their concern and for all the prayers for Eliana . Thank you all so very much !The pic below was taken about a week ago , Angel's hand comparison showed how tiny she is . We have more recent video ,it was uploaded to Facebook, not Youtube so I don't how how to repost it .

Eliana will be four weeks old on March 29th . She weighed 1&1/2 lbs when she was born , she now weighs 1lb.11oz . She has her ups and downs .One of the most serious was a tear in her intestines discovered when she was about a week old . It was surgically fixed , but during the time of healing , she could only be fed intravenously. Nothing could go through her intestines, so that hampered her weight gain . Last week they allowed her to begin eating through her feeding tube once again . She gets blood transfusions frequently . That seems to be the norm with micro -preemies . Her major problem right now is respiratory . They have to keep switching her between different types of ventilators. The goal right now is to just have a breathing tube right below her nose that has forced air in it . Please continue to pray for her , my daughter& family .

Celebrate Oz Blog Party

Welcome to The Celebrate Oz Blog Party Hosted by Old Baggs 'N Stuft Shirts .

My contribution to today's Event is a Glenda the Good Witch Tea Party .I love the Wizard of Oz movie! As a child , I was fascinated as I watched Glenda arrive on the scene in Oz via her Pink Bubble . Pink Bubble always looked like a cool way to travel to me .

This Glenda is a Madame Alexander Doll, Beside her is a WOZ Music Box that plays "Some where over the rainbow".

That's her magic wand stuck in the cupcake .

A Pink Butterfly that has lighted on the teapot .

A Closer look at the Music Box.

Glenda Fabric , I bought this online about a year ago , I'm using as tablecloth.

It was over 80 degrees here today , so I substituted pink lemonade for tea, I like the pink for the Glenda theme .

Everyone loves cupcakes, especially pink ones !

I hope you have fun today as you Celebrate Oz !

Thanks for visiting !

Blessings,

A CSN Stores Review & Rainbows to celebrate St. Patrick's Day

The CSN Stores very generously offered me an opportunity to review a product of my choosing from any from their stores . My granddaughter was planning an Hawaiian Luau for her 13th birthday and Shaved ice or snow cones is a very popular treat in Hawaii . So , I choose this Nostalgia Electrics RSM-702 Retro Single Snow Cone Maker . Everyone Unanimously loved the cone cones! The kids really could hardly get enough and made ( With some adult help) several for themselves . Some adults said they were the best snow cones they had ever eaten ,WOW ! If you like to check it out please go HERE .

A Miracle

I would like to introduce you to my newest granddaughter , Eliana Elizabeth . Eliana was born on March 1, at only 24 weeks gestation & weighing 1lb.8oz. , She is a micro preemie miracle baby . For now she is living at Duke University Hospital Intensive Care Nursery . She is doing very well but she has to stay in the hospital for at least 3 months and she will be fighting for survival every day . Please PRAY for her , my daughter and her family and the Doctors and Nurses that are caring for her . I will keep you posted about her progress .

As I watched her for the first time as she lay in the incubator , I felt such wonder and awe at how beautiful ,perfect, wonderful and tiny she is . As Psalm 139 came to my mind I praised God for the miracle of her birth .

" For you created my inmost being ; You knit me together in my mother's womb.I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made , Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was formed in the secret place , when I was woven in the depths of the earth.Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be ."
