First Sunday of Advent , A Light has dawned

Welcome Blogger Friends,
Today is the first Sunday of Advent , beginning a time of Celebrating the Coming of Christ to this earth to become our Savior and King . Today we will focus on the prophecy of Isaiah 9: 2-6 ,(this was written 700 years before Jesus' Birth .)

" The people walking in darkness have seen a great light ; on those living in the the land of shadow of death a light has dawned ......
For unto us a child is born , to us a son is given and the government will be on His shoulders and He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God , Everlasting Father , Prince of Peace ."

These verses refer to the first Advent of Jesus coming as our Savior and the last verses are reference to His second Advent or coming as King of Israel .
That glorious light has been revealed to all, both Jew and Gentile alike.Jesus is the Light and the Hope of the World and anyone coming to Him will not perish but be given Everlasting Life ! Praise Jesus !

Third Day singing Manger Throne . How I do thank you Jesus that you have come !

I wish you a wonderful beginning to this season of Welcoming and Celebrating Christ anew into our Hearts and Homes !

Thanksgiving is a Blessing

Welcome Friends ,
Happy Thanksgiving season to you all!
It is a wonderful thing that we all gather on one day of the year for prayer, praise and feasting acknowledging the God who made and sustains us.

Psalm 100

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands!

Serve the Lord with gladness, come before his presence with singing !

Know that the Lord, He is God , It is He that hath made us and not us ourselves. We are His people, and the sheep of his pasture .

Enter His gates with Thanksgiving ,and into his courts with praise ! Be thankful unto Him and Bless His name !

For the Lord is good , His mercy is everlasting ;and His truth endureth to all generations .

Every day I Thank and Praise God for all that He has done for me .The greatest blessing he has given me is Jesus dying for my sins .

Here is the St. John's Children's choir singing" Count Your Blessings"

I am very thankful for the Blessing of Celebrating Thanksgiving ! :)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Hi Blogging Friends ,

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas , well at Brier Creek Mall in Raleigh, NC it is anyway!
I went shopping Friday nite and they had their annual Christmas tree lighting with the arrival of Mr. & Mrs. Claus . This is a photo journal of Christmasy things that caught my eye.

The tree with a full moon and kids waiting to see Santa .

I walked by and snapped this of two kids with faces painted to look like reindeer , looks like they are part of Santa's team .

I was glad to see Target was wishing me A Merry CHRISTmas !

I love this new Lalaloopsy Suzette La Sweet , I love dolls !

Love red roses , in Target , found these trees , wreaths & flower balls .

I think this would look wonderful in the kitchen for Christmas filled with candy or other treats.

Love these sock moneys .

Beautiful Christmas fairy!

Santa cookie jar,love it !

And everybody needs an elf for their shelf at Christmas time .
I feel it is too early to wish you a Merry Christmas , although that is my wish for you .
But , there is still Thanksgiving and it is a very special holiday so instead I wish you a very Blessed Thanksgiving! I will especially during these coming days to Thanksgiving Day count my many blessings and thank& praise God for them .
I thank him for Blogger Friends , you are a blessing in my life .

Love & Blessings,
