First Sunday of Advent , A Light has dawned

Welcome Blogger Friends,
Today is the first Sunday of Advent , beginning a time of Celebrating the Coming of Christ to this earth to become our Savior and King . Today we will focus on the prophecy of Isaiah 9: 2-6 ,(this was written 700 years before Jesus' Birth .)

" The people walking in darkness have seen a great light ; on those living in the the land of shadow of death a light has dawned ......
For unto us a child is born , to us a son is given and the government will be on His shoulders and He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God , Everlasting Father , Prince of Peace ."

These verses refer to the first Advent of Jesus coming as our Savior and the last verses are reference to His second Advent or coming as King of Israel .
That glorious light has been revealed to all, both Jew and Gentile alike.Jesus is the Light and the Hope of the World and anyone coming to Him will not perish but be given Everlasting Life ! Praise Jesus !

Third Day singing Manger Throne . How I do thank you Jesus that you have come !

I wish you a wonderful beginning to this season of Welcoming and Celebrating Christ anew into our Hearts and Homes !

Love & Blessings,
~Myrna

  5. We lit one candle yesterday, the first Sunday of Advent. I so like this time of the year. Singing the familiar Christmas Carols and hopefully listening to the whole "Messiah" by Händel, where just this prophesy from Isaiah 9 is a main mighty chorus.
Oh, if we could buy less and prepare our souls better for this wonderful, marvellous feast.
