I only have a few Heirlooms, The one I could get to quickly was this Lenox candy dish that was my grandmother's.Her name was Lucy Stanton Collins, she was born in 1900 and died in 1998.
She was a wonderful dedicated christian woman. This is one of the serving dishes that was likely to be used to serve some of her delicious homemade bread & butter pickles just as often as it would some type of candy. The socials she hosted ,would have been for church groups,or numerous family bridal or baby showers. This has been a pleasant time remembering my Grandmother . To continue on to see other Family Heirlooms, visit Marie's blog, here and enjoy !
Thanks for stopping by , I've enjoyed your visit.;-)

ReplyDeleteSweet dish and lovely memories. I just love how everything was so pretty and put together in our grandparents time. I wonder what all we do that can really be so important we don't get these lovely socials put together like they used to. ( well I cannot seem to do it anyway)
