Hi Blogging Friends,
The cold has settled in here in NC , at least for the moment. Last week we had two 70 degree days , but that is not good news. Here when that happens we are in danger of high winds & winter tornadoes .As a result of the high winds last week, the gazebo in my front yard was taken out by some tree limbs . I am glad that was all that was damaged.
For a break form the winter weather,I am traveling back in pics to last summer Back to the Beach. This is part of the trip pics to one of the NC Aquariums. Of course I'll start out with a beach pic to get you in the mood .
We have 4 Aquarium sites in NC. this is the Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores.
My post today will future one aspect of the Aquarium ,
which is also a winter theme and that is Penguins! This was a very giant one out front.lol
On the way in I snapped some flower shots . This daisy grows like grass all over all of our Outer Banks .
Oh, these are not flowers , but they are orange .lol
Two sunset pics taken on the road ,
on the way home from the Beach .
"Praise the Lord,my soul; All my inmost being ,praise His Holy Name.Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits-who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's."
Psalm 103:1-5

ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday, Myrna.
well you certainly covered your colors! Lovely photo tour! One of my Aunts lives along the Outer Banks and I think I've been to the aquarium with the fish sculpture you shared. Or it reminds me of one I'v seen.. it was some 10 or so years ago. Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteThese are some wonderful pictures. I've been dreaming of summer too. Those flowers look just yummy!
ReplyDeleteI admire your aquarium report. I'm impressed by the high quality. I also long for blue summer skies and for the sunflowers to bloom.
ReplyDeleteThe well known stanzas from Psalm 103 made me feel renewed, summer in my soul.
Great collection of images. I like the orange composition - with all the geometric lines and shapes. Thank you for sharing with Mandarin Orange Monday:)
ReplyDeleteI love those gigantic fish!

Your comment will be greatly appreciated.
What a colorful post! And those flowers grow like grass there? LUCKY! They remind me of our Indian paintbrushes..same color combinations.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know there were penguins anywhere but the poles...and Batman movies! lol You learn something everyday!
Love your Bible verses. Hugs.
Wonderful collection of summery photos! Especially love the display of fish as a feature! Well designed!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful post and share. I am sorry to hear you lost your gazebo. But, glad to know you are okay.
ReplyDeleteI love all of these wonderful pictures. But my favorites are the ones showing that deep blue blue sky.
I hope the weather gets better soon for you!
Happy RT2!
Sorry to hear about your gazebo. I enjoyed this break from winter. We had to shovel five inches of snow out of the driveway yesterday and more is expected today, so I'm glad to see a little summer here. :-) Love the beach!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots. Have a fabulous week!

All the things you captured are interesting and I smiled to imagine the river bank carpeted by the daisies flowering wild. Cheers to your enchanted surroundings! Thanks for your visit.

Oh wow your pictures are awesome!! I love the beach. It is so very peaceful.
ReplyDeleteYour first photo is one of my favourite beach scenes. It reminds me of love and peace and wonderful movies I've seen with similar scenery. I love your colourful flowers too. I hope your weather improves and no dangerous tornadoes head your way. Happy weekend ahead. xx
