In Memory of My Mother

Virginia Collins Schuster
March 31,1930 - May 30,2011

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying ,neither shall there be any more pain : for the former things are passed away."
Revelation21:4

A letter to my family

I wanted to write a letter to you
sent down from up above
And let you know how things are and
Send to you my love

I am happy now all pain is gone and
loneliness is no more
Family and friends were waiting for me
When I passed through the door

They rejoiced when they saw me
We walked hand in hand
Down streets made of pure gold

I know you will miss me
And your heart will ache
But ties are not broken
And memories don’t break

Remember this isn’t the end
You still have each other
Stay strong in the Lord
And we’ll be together again

A family we are and always will be
No matter if it is one or three
When you get together give each other a kiss
and tell them it is from me.

Love, Mother

  1. I always thought of Jenny as such a beautiful person, and she had the sweetest voice and now that voice is much sweeter as she praises her Lord. All of you are in my prayers. Love you, Larue

  2. Oh, Myrna, I am so sorry to read of the loss of your mom...and the day before her birthday...can we even imagine the birthday she is celebrating now?

Very sweet picture...you really favor her....

  3. I'm so sorry to read this news. I heard a saying once that might ease the pain, even if just a little bit. "Carry her in your heart, not on your shoulders. She wouldn't want that."

    Thinking of you,
    Jill

  9. Hi, Myrna--
this is my first time to your blog (by way of afancifultwist), and what a delight to see such a sweet, happy picture of your mother! :)

I am sorry for your loss. She looks like such a lovely, wonderful mom.
I lost my mother 8 yrs ago, and though the loss never gets easier, in time good memories take over the sadness and leaves joy...

I hope your heart is filled....
