Christmas in July

Hello Friends,
I love to celebrate Christmas in July ! It just gives me time to plan any crafts or projects I may want to do for Christmas . If I wait until Christmas for such things ,I just will never get them done. And it's such fun too. I like to watch  Christmas movies to get in the mood.I rediscovered the old flick "Christmas in July" last year,a very funny comedy from 1940.It is not really a Christmas movie but I enjoyed it, I won't give the plot away if you haven't seen it,

A early start on the Christmas Crafts , here is a plushie made by my very talented granddaughter Jasmine.

An Angel ornament I made

Yay, I found this vintage mouse elf at the Good Will for 50 cents.

It is Christmas in July in all the crafting stores here in Ohio already! And it's time to start all the projects related we want to get done. Which reminds me... YIKES I gotta get it together to start now! I always have too many things on my list I want to make as gifts. Thank you for the reminder. great post!

Love the little elf figurines you found. I have my mom's from the 50's and they are one of my fav decorations. They're so sweet and bring back so many memories of growing up.

  12. It certainly is wise to start Christmas crafts the summer before! I dislike running out of time, myself. I've never heard of that movie, though I'm a fan of movies of the 40s! I'll have to look for it! :-)

  13. I love the idea of Christmas in July. My wife's birthday is near Christmas and I've tried to get her to agree to a second birthday in July at least.

  14. Because you have a head-start on Christmas, you'll be staying home sipping tea when the rest of us are trooping off to the mall!

  18. I love all of your beautiful pictures. I can't get in the mood that early. Perhaps because I worked at Wal-Mart for 14 years. :) Good for you though.

  19. Your angel ornament you made is adorable. I love angels. All the photos are gorgeous. It's to hot for me to think of Christmas in July we are usually in the 100's but today the 90's. I can't think of Christmas yet. But it is nice to dream of it. Have a great weekend Hugs
