Eclectic Reds

Hello Blog Friends,

A have an eclectic collection of reds today. Here is a vintage 1957 Whitman copy of WOZ . I ordered a WOZ pop-up book from Amazon and they accidentally send this , but I decided to keep it . I had never seen this before & also it was the style of artwork that was popular in school books in the early 60's when I first started grade school .



I love these cute little red-haired pixie girls! I made a offer for these on Ebay and got them for a reduced price .



Next two are GW Finds .I love Disney and I have become quite fond of gnomes thanks to the good influence of Blogging friend Jackie ,at Once Upon a Fairyland .




I fell in love with this Black & red teapot ,it is a new item . Great for Valentine's Day Or goes right along with an Alice in Wonderland theme ,too

Hello Friends,

I was walking around my yard yesterday,looking to make some yellow or blue pics. I was surprised that I found some,after the soaring heat this summer,most things were not looking so good. It has cooled to more normal temps and things are looking somewhat better.

The bottle tree kept right on blooming in spite of it all. he he



The heat hasn't affected this happy little guy,either.




The beach balls seem to flourish in the heat. lol

Glazing Balls also have an amazing tolerant for summer heat.

I live on a wooded lot and it is almost like living in a desert for plants.I put a lot of things in pots. Trees take an enormous amount of water and nutrients from the soil. But I do love the woods!

Wizard Of Oz Artist Trading Cards

Hello Friends,
Today I'm joining Two Crazy Crafters, Twyla and Lindsey's Wizard of Oz ATC Blog Hop. The Wizard of Oz Is my favorite movie . I have very fond memories watching it as a child .Back in the 1960's it came on TV as a special event once a year. I always looked forward to it .


I have created three ATCs with my original artwork. They are displayed below with some Ruby Slippers from my WOZ Collection.



Here is my interpretation of Glenda the Good Witch in her pink bubble. Glenda has always been my favorite WOZ character.





Here is a rainbow with a Blue Bird flying somewhere over. Judy Garland is my favorite singer and of her singing Over the Rainbow is my favorite song .











Here is my Dorothy and Toto walking along the yellow brick road . They do not notice they are being followed by that pink bubble. lol

Hi Everyone ! My outdoor pics are of my recent visit to our NC Art Museum Gardens .This is just part of the Gardens , we did not make it around to see everything .

This looks like a giant Hornet's nest or a tornado .First , I walked past this , then I came to the metal tree. I started to feel like I was in OZ.

Spotting Reds at the Mall

Hello Everyone ! It's that time of the week for Reds to be on Parade . I spotted quite a few while I was out this weekend at the Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh, NC. We(Me, Hubby & granddaughter #1) stopped by the Disney Store . I love Winnie the Pooh. Some of my favorite Poohisms :

"I wonder what Piglet is doing ?" thought Pooh ."I wish I was there to be doing it, too. "

"When late morning rolls around and you are feeling a bit out of sorts .Don't worry , you're probably just a little eleven 'o clockish . "

"If you live to 100. I wish to live to be 100 minus one day , so I'll never have to spend a day without you ."

I spotted these fabulous looking red heels. I was just looking, I don't love them enough to go through the ordeal of wearing them . lol




We stopped in the Sanrio Store.This store is full of Cute and Red. Here is Hello Kitty, herself.

While at the Mall,we stopped to eat at Andy's Grill. The Retro Decor was actually pink & aqua.

I love Lucy !

Hi Everybody ,

I 'm back with more things I love. I think we all love Lucy , she was (is)the premier lady of Laughs . Her 100th birthday was on August 6th, Happy Birthday Lucy , we will never forget you!

I Love this episode !

I love cherries !

Another thing I love is Cherry Surprise /aka Cherry Cobbler. This is a simple one made from lowfat Bisquick & made right in the baking dish . Quick & simple , except for cherry pitting.


But, Alas , worth the effort , for fresh cherries !
