Christmas is a Holy day we celebrate . A day we celebrate because God became man and started on a journey which began in a stable ,goes to the cross and ends with him as our Risen Savior in Heaven .And it was all for us , to redeem us back to himself . He loved us so much he died for us ,to take the punishment for our sins.There has never been a Greater Love than this !
Love did come down at Christmas!

SKYWATCH FRIDAY

Today I have a December Sunset through some pine trees , taken in my backyard.I use a small Canon digital powershot point & shoot camera most of the time .It's just easy to carry around ,it fits in the palm of my hand . I do have a Pentax K100 35mm digital that I use sometimes(I have no really fancy cameras ) .It's big & bulky . I don't like carrying it around much &I am not very technical at all. I just Love to take pictures.

In the kitchen , Shauna kept checking on me to see if I was ever gonna get done ,I was beginning to wonder myself.lol (hair is pulled back for cooking)

Angel reading about the 5 grains of corn that the Pilgrims would put on their plates every Thanksgiving to remind of harsh times when that was the food allowance for the day& to be thankful.

Children's Book Review

Today I am reviewing the children's book " The Tallest of the smalls" written by Max Lucado and illustrated by Maria Monescillo. This is a parable from from his book Fearless(not a children's book).This is a story about a boy named Ollie who lived in the town of Stiltsville ,who wanted to be loved and feel he was special .Each evening at six , they handed out stilts. Which everyone wanted, to be in the "in crowd". Ollie was short and had patches on his pants . He really wanted to be given those stilts so he could fit in and feel good about himself. Finally one day his name was called and he got his chance at wearing the stilts . But, things did not turn out well for him and he fell off. Then,someone came and helped him , a person who loved him unconditionally . I think you can guess who that was. Jesus, the only one who really validates our worth.

I love this book and it's wonderful message for kids in this world where they are given so many messages about how to fit in and be accepted . Unconditional love is what they seek and that is how our Lord loves us. I read it to my grand kids and they loved it ;I recommend it.

OUTDOOR WEDNESDAY

Today I have a country drive on the way to my granddaughter's riding lesson . I have beautiful country side surrounding where I live . First we start out of my drive way onto the dirt road I live on.




Most of the pics are taken from driving by. Here is a horse grazing . There are a lot of horses around.
Here is a country Church complete with a graveyard.
Hay rolled & left to dry in a field.
We are not there yet, but here is a preview , this is Jasmine with Eeyore the horse she will ride today.
On the way we past a park flooded from the Nor'easter that passed through here last week.

We have turned off now on to the road of Steppin Heaven Farms, (click on name to visit website) the Horse Farm we are going to in Louisburg , NC( In the south , they are called Horse Farms & not Ranches I don't know why , I think it probably has to do with size )
Here are are some of the horses, there are goats & sheep also.( & cats )
We have made it , There is Jasmine on Eeyore with her riding instructor in the background.
